How to wear: This is a tight compression garment. Put your socks on as you would tights. All Apolla Shock socks are anatomically correct (has left & right). Before wearing for the first time, please visit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=11&v=41oxOdmMlmw
Fit Tips: If a dancer has a very wide foot and is at the top end of the size range (refer to sizing list), you may choose to go up a size in the Alpha Shock
Traction or Non-traction?:
Choose traction if you enjoy a wide variety of movement with technical elements, direction changes, etc., Dance surface tends to be slippery or you dance on a variety of different dance surfaces (except carpet), You prefer to be more grounded in your movement.
Choose non-traction if you will likely be dancing on carpet or a combination of hard and soft surfaces, Your movements are more stationary, Your main dance surface tends to be sticky, I enjoy the support of my Shock socks in my shoes (i.e. tape shoes, sneakers, etc.)
Washing instructions: Wash with warm water in gentle cycle. Low tumble dry. Do NOT use fabric softener or dryer sheets. For best results, wash and dry your Shocks in the Apolla Mesh Bag (sold separately). For Shocks with traction, socks do not need to be washed daily or even weekly. They are antimicrobial and moisture wicking so they do not need to be washed too often. Water will naturally break down the traction faster. Wash your Shocks minimally to possibly preserve the life of the traction.
